Handheld EPM multiband transceiver with improved resistance against radio-electronic warfare is intended for communication at the tactical level of command in all military branches.

The RF23 transceiver complements the RF20 transceivers and is therefore fully compatible with all transceivers of the system in terms of voice and data connection. It differs from the RF20 handheld transceiver particularly in connectivity to standardized accessories that are used by other transceiver manufacturers - antennas and audio accessories. Using the TNC-type antenna connector significantly expands the range of compatible antennas with products of (among others) RADIALL or TRIVAL ANTENNE. Audio-frequency connector U-229/U (complying with MIL-DTL-55116) is used to connect the standardized audio accessories. The connector connects to audio equipment by SONETRONICS, CJ COMPONENT PRODUCTS, POWER TIME, etc.

The RF23 transceiver has new additions and features such as incorporated internal GPS receiver with automatic broadcasting of positional reports on the background of normal voice or data session - G-Track system.

The transceiver must be capable of deployment in extreme operating conditions. Uptime and reliability in harsh climatic and mechanical conditions is tested according to international standard MIL-STD-810. The device is subjected to a series of tests that examine its behavior under extreme temperatures, exposed to dust, sand or rain.
